Sunday/Tuesday Oregonian Super Saver Subscription - $.99 per week

If you've been wanting to subscribe to the Sunday Oregonian for the coupons, there's a new subscription out just for couponers.  It's called the Super-Saver Subscription.  I found a card advertisement for it in my Early Edition Sunday paper a couple weeks ago and decided to give it a try.  Here's the offer:

Sunday/Tuesday delivery for only $.99 per week.
Offer is limited to certain zip codes and 97038 is one of them!  Offer also limited to those who have not subscribed to The Oregonian in the last 30 days.  Sunday/Tuesday subscription will be billed every 24 weeks at current home-delivery rate of $23.76.  This offer limited to one subscription per household.  Offer expires 12/31/11.  If you don't have one of the cards to mail in you can also sign up by calling 503.221.8240.

I first tried subscribing online but didn't see a check box for this subscription.  I then decided to call the phone number instead of mailing my card in.  I had to wait a couple minutes on hold but was able to set up delivery for this Sunday!

A Video By Molly

Molly, a Coupon Molalla regular (hahaha) has made a video of her recent coupon deals.  I love seeing what others are buying with coupons.  I can't be everywhere all the time so it's helpful to get ideas from others.  Thanks for the video Molly!

UPDATE**SOLD OUT** $25 Woodburn Company Stores Gift Card for only $12!

I'm very excited about this one.  Hurry, IT'S ONLY AVAILABLE TODAY!!  I shop at the outlets quite frequently!  Anything from work out clothing to clothes for the kiddos, you can find it here.  I've also found coupons for Coach and many other stores on the Outlet Gals Blog.  They've redone their website so I don't know if they still offer the coupons but they post all the stores sales & events.

Outlet Gals Blogwww.woodburncompanystores.com/outlet-gals/

For more info on the dealwww.frugallivingnw.com/online-deals/get-25-gift-card-to-woodburn-outlets-for-just-12/

I purchased this deal myself this morning.  I got an email directing me to print a voucher and take it to the Customer Service Office to redeem my gift card.  I'll let you all know how it turns out!

*I found this deal under NW Portland and not SW Portland as they state on Frugal Living NW.  Just a heads up to check both places!

**NEW UPDATE**  I printed my voucher, went to Woodburn Company Stores Customer Service and exchanged it for the $25 gift card.  The entire process took only a minute or two and that included showing them my identification.  I then went to Adadis and bought some workout clothing from the clearance rack and scored some great deals!

Coupon Exchange?

What do you all think about setting up a coupon exchange?  I'm not sure how it would work but I've been tossing this idea around for a while now.  I am a bit of a brand snob so there are many deals I don't do because they aren't my family's "brands".  I got to thinking that maybe someone else has that darn $2/1 Dial Lotion coupon I yearn for.  I have so many coupons I toss out I hate for them to go to waste.  And...with it getting harder and harder to buy coupons according to my earlier post, this just might work.

Any ideas?  Any suggestions?  Instead of a Mom's Club we can do a Coupon Molalla Club.  Haha...okay, I'm kidding but really, I think we can make this work!  Would simply posting a wanted coupon ad on this site work?

A Couple Notes From This Evening's Trip to Safeway

Here are a couple notes from my trip to Safeway this evening:

~ Safeway is surprisingly busy on a Saturday evening.

~ The Clearance Section is BACK!  Not sure where it went but it has returned.

~ Johnson & Johnson First Aid Kits are back in stock for $.99 each.  The $3/2 J&J coupons are still around too so don't forget to grab those.

~ They are out of Nivea for Men priced at $2.50.  If you are interested in this product now's the time to get a rain check!  This is another GREAT item to use with your $10 off coupon at the beginning of the month.  $2.50 adds up fast and even if you use your doubles on something else you are only paying $.50 out of pocket each!

~ Nivea Lip Balm is back in stock for $.99.  If you subscribe to All You Magazine you can use your coupon from the April issue to get them for free.

~ The Minute Maid Lemonade Deal the coupon sites posted worked for me but there were lots of beeps from the register and manually pushing through coupons.  I don't think I'll do this deal again.  To top it off they are wiped out of Minute Maid Lemonade with the exception of the Light...even in back.

~ Seattle's Best Coffee Single Cans are on sale for $1.25 (Free w/ coupon from 6/5 SS) but they are also wiped out.  Not a single one in the store.  I noticed a 4 pack that someone had taken one can out of.  Since I had 3 of the FREE coupons I took them up front (in the case) and asked if they would sell them to me as singles.  Of course they did but I didn't want them to think I was the one who had tore into it in the first place.  I shop here a lot and don't want that stigma attached to me or my family!

Happy shopping!

Stricter Rules on Couponing? Most Likely!!

For some reason all the coupon sites out there are not willing to admit that the new TLC Extreme Couponing show has made an impact on our couponing habits/abilities/patience.  I don't fully understand it being that I have definitely noticed stricter coupon policies, grumpier cashiers (can you blame them?  really??) and less stock on hand.  Yes, some of it is simply more people couponing but it's also more uninformed people trying to coupon (always know your store's coupon policy before you go).  This combined with some pretty ingenious people coming up with new ways to save has left the stores & coupon companies reeling.

Finally, here is a coupon site that is willing to admit that all these changes are most likely a direct result of the show.  I'm not bad mouthing the show...at all.  I've seen it once and it wasn't really my thing.  I'm just happy someone has finally decided to post about it.  They also posted some pretty interesting changes that are currently taking place as well as some that may or may not take effect in the future.  Check it out at:

3 Month Fitness Pass (unlimited classes) for $119.00 ($28.00 savings)

I personally attend Zumba and Total Body Conditioning classes here.  I love that Jay & Lindsay have helped me build endurance and strength in an enjoyable, non-judgmental environment.  Classes are designed to accommodate most fitness levels so whether you are a beginner or just looking for a change, they have a class for you.  To top it off, they have childcare at a reasonable cost with great providers.  What more can you ask for?!

FREE Sure Deodorant and Huge Clearance at Safeway

*UPDATE* Travel Size Johnson & Johnson First Aid Kits Gone For Good?

I didn't get to Safeway in time to score on the two free J&J First Aid kits a couple weeks ago with the $3/2 coupon.  I noticed yesterday that the tag and empty space for them has been replaced with another J&J product.  Hope they get them back in stock but they seem to be cheap everywhere so I'm sure I'll still get to use my coupons before they expire.

*UPDATE*  I noticed the empty spot was back.  Not sure if they sold out again or if they are preparing for more.

FREE Weber Marinade Mix Plus $1 off Any Meat

Weber Marinade Mix (packet) on Sale $.99
use $1/1 Any Weber Seasoning 5/22 SS
Price: FREE

There was a tear pad of coupons for $1.00 off any meat with the purchase of 2 Weber Products last week.  This is a great time to use it if you were lucky enough to get one!  They were almost out when I grabbed mine.

I need your resources!

Do any of you know of local groups and/or organizations that need donations?  I'd love to post them so we all have a place to drop off that free cat food, baby products, canned food, medical supplies, personal hygiene items or anything else we may have too much of or just want to donate.  I've done research on fresh produce from our garden in the past so I'll have to dig that info up and post as well.

Thanks for your support!

Safeway Deals June 1st-7th

At first I wasn't excited about this Buy 8 Mix & Match Sale.  After all, some of the prices after the discount aren't as low as they go on a regular sale week.  After going in this morning I have changed my tune.  This promotion combined with the $10/$50 coupon is going to be great.  Half the store is on promotion and there are tons of coupon match ups.  I even found an abundance of peelies & blinkies around the store.  My plan is to get my $10/$50 coupon (mine comes on Friday) then do a big trip.  I always like the $10/$50 coupon so I don't have to deal with doubles!

Here are a couple match ups I noticed today.  Prices reflect the after 8 mix & match $.50 off:

Rozoni Garden Delight Pasta $1.49
use $1/1 Rozoni Garden Delight from 5/15 SS
us a double coupon
Price:  Free

Dole Fruit Cups (Parfaits & Fruit in Gel are included) $1.99
use $.50/2 Dole Fruit in Cup or $.50/2 Dole Parfaits 5/15 SS
(there are tons of Dole coupons out there)
use a double coupon
Price:  $1.25 ea. when you buy 2

Hefty One Zip Bags $1.49
use $1/2 Hefty One Zip (sorry, can't remember date but it was in May)
use a double
Price:  $.75 each when you buy 2

Seattle's Best Coffee $6.49
use $1/1 Seattle's Best Blinkie Coupon (can't double)
or use $1/1 Seattle's Best 12 oz. 4/10 SS
use a double coupon
Price:  As low as $4.99 ea.

Cheetos $1.79
use $1/2 Cheetos store peelie
use a double coupon
Price:  $1.04 ea. when you buy 2

Gillette Body Wash $2.99
use $2/1 Gillette Body Wash Coupon 5/15 RP
use a double coupon
Price:  $.49
There is a B1G1 coupon for Gillette Body Wash coming in this week's Sunday P&G insert.  I'm not sure if you can combine that with the $2/1 coupon to make it $.49 for 2.

Beggin Strips $2.49
load the Just for U $2 coupon for Beggin Strips
Price:  $.49

Here are some of the peelies & blinkies I found through out the store.  Some are old and some are new.  I got tired of looking for them and stopped keeping track.  My kids were done shopping. :)

$1/2 Purina Dog Snacks (Beggin Strips, Beneful Snackin Slices, T Bonz, Busy Bone) peelie on the Beggin Strips

$1/2 Dole Fruit Crisps (they are currently priced at $2 ea.) (blinkie)

$.75/1 La Creme Coffee Creamer (cooler section).  I THINK they were priced at $2.49 each so they would be $1.75 - can't double them. (tearpad)

$1.00 off any meat with the purchase of 2 Weber Products (tearpad)
$.35 off 1 Weber Seasoning, 1 Weber Grinder or 2 Weber Marinade Packets (tearpad)

Lastly, I used the last of my Viva rainchecks.  Sad, I loved getting the Viva Paper towels for $1 for a six pack.  For some reason I kept getting a $5 Catalina for buying 2 6-packs instead of the $4 Catalina I should have gotten.  It says that right on the CAT.  Oh well, I'll take it!

Happy shopping all and feel free to share your scores with the Buy 8 Mix & Match Promotion!
