Coupon Exchange?

What do you all think about setting up a coupon exchange?  I'm not sure how it would work but I've been tossing this idea around for a while now.  I am a bit of a brand snob so there are many deals I don't do because they aren't my family's "brands".  I got to thinking that maybe someone else has that darn $2/1 Dial Lotion coupon I yearn for.  I have so many coupons I toss out I hate for them to go to waste.  And...with it getting harder and harder to buy coupons according to my earlier post, this just might work.

Any ideas?  Any suggestions?  Instead of a Mom's Club we can do a Coupon Molalla Club.  Haha...okay, I'm kidding but really, I think we can make this work!  Would simply posting a wanted coupon ad on this site work?

  1. I was soooooo bummed that I didn't get the $2 dial lotion coupon.....then I looked through my inserts again......1st page I turned to...found it!
    I can share ;0)

While I was picking up my special order at Safeway I noticed other people's special orderes. I know the Purina cat food was supposed to be free and every time I went in looking for the yellow box I couldn't find it....It was in a blue bag! Ugh I let 15 coupons expire Tuesday(so mad at myself) but at least I know for next time.

I also noticed a special order for Hunt's Tomatoe sauce.....hmmmmmm is that a freebie??

Here's 2 days worth of shopping(2 days because I forgot a stack of coupons at home!)

Great video! I love to see what other people are buying. I recently decided to start watching for animal food coupons so I can start donating items to the animal shelters. Wish I knew about the Purina cat food sooner!

So, I finally broke down and did my first ebay coupon order as well as my first special order at Safeway. I ended up buying 5 of the Dial coupons. It was hard to find a lot of coupons smaller than 20. Who can use 20 lotions!! Haha. The Dial won't be free but I heart it so it's worth it at $1. Thanks for the offer, so sweet!

I know nothing of the Hunt's sauce. Hmmm....

If you come up with some free cat or dog food, please post or email me. I really want to work on a "service project" with my girls.

    Thanks for the post!

  3. I think there is a $2.00 of coupon on the purina website: https://www.facebook.com/#!/PurinaOne

Not sure if it's of any size (I have computer/printer issues)

    Are your girls girl scouts?

I love looking at other peoples coupon shopping to get ideas, and inspiration......just wish I knew about some of the deals before the sale ends..

I started this blog so people could share their finds and we could all get in on the deals. I don't have time to run around checking stores for sales and coupon matches either. Sadly, not many others have posted deals. I feel like couponing can be so cutthroat at times. I now realize how easy it is to special order items. Yay for not having to rush into the store to get the deals!

  5. I love special ordering......much less stressful....better for me....the store.....and other couponers.

Sometimes I feel like some couponers know of a good deal, but don't want to say anything because they want to save it for themselves.LOL

There is way too many couponers out there.

Couponing does take up a lot of time. Especially researching. It'd be nice if people posted their finds.

I'm torn on the amount of couponers out there. Yes, there's a lot of us. I feel like we all deserve to save money by using coupons. I think the problem comes in when people don't inform themselves on coupon policies, are demanding of cashiers and don't respect other couponers (taking entire stacks of tear pad coupons, shelf clearing, buying things because they are free and not because they will ever use them). I tried to get some cheap goldfish at Fred Meyer this week and every single peelie was pulled off the grahms. THAT's what makes me want to be a cheater too but at the end of the day, it's only couponing and another deal WILL come along. There are a lot of people hurting out there but I thing the craze will eventually blow over. We'll always have more competition than before but a lot of people aren't up to doing all the research. :)

  7. I know! I was watching a youtube video and the guy was telling everyone how to get a good deal. He explained how he bougth a bunch of candy really cheap by taking the ENTIRE tearpad of coupons (as if that wasn't enough he went to another store and took ALL of the coupons there too)that's insane!
    Here's his video:

Couponing is hard work and I think most people would quit if the economy wasn't so bad. But a lot of people are out of work. Prices are going up and the uncertainty of the economy is freaking some people out (like me).

Molly, I need your help! I'm planning on doing the Rite Aid deal for the Dial Nutriskin Lotion. It's a buy 2 get $1 Up Reward. My question is if I can buy 4 and once and get (2) $1 Up Rewards. At WAGS you have to do the deal in 2 different transactions and I'm wondering if Rite Aid is the same. I quickly browsed their coupon policy and didn't see anything about that. Thanks much! Oh, and I'm not going to Albertson's this week if you want my 2 sets of doubles. :)
